DIY: Wall Art

I am all about DIY projects. When I decided that my room needed a makeover, I wanted to do all the artwork myself!

The walls of my room are a chocolate brown and I have mint and deep red accents. I had no idea what type of artwork I wanted, but I knew I wanted it to stand out!

I decided to take square canvases and get a little creative. First, I painted the canvases a light brown, to offset the chocolate paint on the wall. Then, I watered down some random colors of paint, including gold, teal, red, blues, etc. Although not all of these colors were in my bedspread or elsewhere, I knew they would look awesome!

I took the canvases out into the yard as well as the watered down paint and just started throwing droplets down and making criss-crossing motions with the paintbrush!

I absolutely loved how they turned out. The entire project only cost me about $20 (I got the canvases at a wholesale website that charged barely anything).
